When the computer is back up and running, disable any firewalls or anti virus protection that you may have running. Once the software has been removed, reboot the computer so that the changes take affect. The first link that I am adding will give you detailed instructions for Uninstalling the Printer Software. If you have the printer connected to the computer with as usb cable, please remove it from the printer and the computer and leave it disconnected until further notice. What we need to do is uninstall the old driver and reinstall the new one. The reason why you are having issues with printing since you upgraded from Windows 8 to the 8.1 operating system is simply because you need to have the proper driver for that operating system.
